The Role & Your Job Plan
The successful applicant will join a dynamic team, consisting of 3 Consultants, 2 Specialty Doctors (including this post), Trainee Urology ANP, Nurse Consultant, Uro-Oncology clinical nurse specialists and is supported by ward level FY1’s. The speciality doctor role is pivotal in the provision of day time services for both in-patients and emergency presentations, whilst opportunities to develop elective surgical and diagnostic skills are supported. The department boasts excellent tertiary links with NHS Lothian and are part of the South East of Scotland Cancer Network (SCAN).
Our Department & Facilities
The department seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to assist in delivery of safe, effective and excellent urological services within the hospital. The department of surgery provide comprehensive elective and emergency services at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and cater to a population of 150,000.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and at least four years post graduation with experience of working at post-foundation level in Urology.
Successful applicants will be supported through CESR if this is their intention.
