Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to join our dynamic and highly specialised Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department on a substantive 8PA contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large, forward-thinking unit that delivers a comprehensive maxillofacial service to a wide population base.
You will be joining a supportive and experienced team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality maxillofacial care. Responsibilities will include elective and emergency work across the breadth of the specialty, appropriate to experience and training level. Participation in departmental meetings, teaching, and quality improvement activities is encouraged.

- Dentoalveolar surgery
- Management of maxillofacial trauma
- Correction of facial deformity
- Head and neck oncology surgery
- Microsurgical reconstruction
- Extensive skin malignancy management
We also provide a significant contribution to head and neck cancer pathways, reconstructive surgery, and complex facial deformity correction, supported by experienced multidisciplinary teams.
Facilities and Collaboration
The department benefits from on-site facilities including:
- Dedicated theatre time
- A minor ops theatre of which Maxillofacial is the main user
- An on-site maxillofacial laboratory
There are strong working relationships across the Trust, especially with the Regional Radiotherapy Unit, Dermatology, and ENT, enabling seamless multidisciplinary care and high-quality patient outcomes.
