Job Description
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time Specialty Doctor post based across the three Sexual Health Hounslow sites: Twickenham House at West Middlesex University Hospital, Heart of Hounslow, and Feltham Centre for Health. The role is ideally suited to a doctor with extensive NHS experience and a minimum of two years' experience in sexual health and contraception services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare, including the delivery of contraception and Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC).
- Work within one of the largest and busiest Sexual Health and HIV services in Europe, managed by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
- Participate in service development, clinical audit, research, quality improvement initiatives, and the teaching and supervision of medical students and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development, delivery, and monitoring of clinical services to meet patient needs.
- Maintain and develop professional knowledge and clinical skills.
- Support the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical input and supporting the ongoing development of the Sexual Health Service.
- Participate in service meetings, clinical governance activities, audit, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects.
- Share clinical expertise, support workforce development, and strengthen collaborative working with primary care, social services, and other partner organisations to enhance patient care and service delivery.
