Job Description

About the Role

The post is as Specialty Doctor in General Adult Community Psychiatry primarily working in a CMHT And Early Intervention service 0.5 and as a Teaching Fellow 0.5.

This is a well-established post and was created in partnership between Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and Buckingham Medical School to provide Undergraduate Psychiatry training for medical students in Rugby. This has been running successfully since 2018.

The current vacancy is due to the Post holder making career progression.

Responsibilities

The Specialty Doctor will assist in providing comprehensive community mental health services in Rugby and to undergraduate education for medical students from Buckingham Medical School. You will require leadership, teaching, and team building skills as well as clinical experience.

This post will give an excellent opportunity to develop teaching skills and will be particularly suited to doctors who have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Psychiatry and who are not in a training programme. The post holder will be given the necessary support for career progression and will have the opportunity to participate in regular CPD. Previous post holders have a good track record of making Career progression.
