Specification Manager
Specification Business Development Manager – Midlands
Salary up to £60,000 + EV/Hybrid Company Car + Uncapped Bonus
We are working with a leading manufacturer of commercial building material products. Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to cover the Midlands.
This is a specification-led sales role focused on creating demand, winning projects and developing long-term relationships across commercial refurbishment and new-build schemes. The role will be focused on:
60% commercial clients 30% M&E contractors / FM contractors 10% merchant and distribution partners
You will work closely with estates teams, sustainability managers, building owners, facilities managers, M&E contractors, FM providers and key merchant partners to identify opportunities, influence specifications and manage projects through to close.
The role will involve: Developing new business across commercial washroom projects Creating demand with end users, estates teams and building owners Building relationships with M&E and FM contractors Working with merchant partners including Wolseley, BSS and City Plumbing Carrying out washroom water surveys and presenting ROI-led solutions Reviewing drawings, schedules and project requirements Managing projects from lead generation through to specification and close Building a strong pipeline through CRM and structured account development

Projects will include education, hospitality, leisure, public sector, commercial buildings and private sector developments.
We are looking for a proactive field sales professional with experience in plumbing, heating, commercial washrooms, sanitaryware, building services or related products.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling through specification-led channels and engaging with end users, M&E contractors, FM contractors, consultants, architects, merchants or distribution partners.
