This isn’t just a job; it’s a call to create a brighter, more sustainable future, and we’re committed to supporting your growth every step of the way.
As a Specification Sales Engineer, you’ll drive commercial and institutional building projects in the UK by positioning Eaton’s power solutions front and centre in early-stage design decisions. Your mission: build lasting relationships with specifiers—architects, engineers, consultants—and embed Eaton’s innovative solutions into their frameworks, delivering measurable impact.

- Plan your territory rigorously to maximize reach and tailor approaches for high-value clients.
- Conduct in-depth discovery to fully understand project needs, risk tolerance, and technical specifications.
- Accurately qualify leads, using insights to drive intelligent specification strategies.
Relationship & Strategic Influence
- Develop long-term partnerships with engineering offices, building consultant firms, and end-users—positioning Eaton as a trusted tech partner.
- Champion Eaton’s tools and solutions through key influencing phases: early specification analysis, tender phase intervention, and post-contract contract stage improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
