About the Role
This is a field sales role focused on selling a comprehensive range of manufactured floor coverings and carpet tiles. Key components include:
- Promotion of multi-loop and low-level loop carpet tiles; selected ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll)
- Sales targeting architects, interior designers, fit-out contractors, and end users
- Strong historical focus in commercial office, education, universities, and student accommodation
- Collaboration with an existing team of two field sales professionals serving London
- Inheritance of a small project bank, with an invoice expectation of £500,000 in the first year
- Target to grow a sizable project bank valued up to £3m–£5m, with plans for project closure over future years

Projects range in scale from 500 m², typically with values starting at £10,000+, sourced through ABI leads and an in-house CRM database.
Responsibilities
- Drive 100% specification field sales efforts within A&D (architects & designers), fit-out contractors, and end users
- Promote a complete portfolio of flooring and interior products, with a focus on commercial and public sector contracts
- Utilise CRM platforms and project lead workflows to grow a robust pipeline
- Work collaboratively to expand market presence and deepening client relationships
Requirements
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in selling to specifiers, architects, interior designers (A&D)
- Ideally, experience in the flooring or carpet sector (or related interiors industry)
- flexible to interior products such as wall coverings, fabrics, ceilings, partitioning, or furniture
- Strong ability to sell aesthetically driven products, ideally within the flooring scope
- Background in tactile commercial sales approach
- Comprehensive understanding of specification-based selling
- High commercial acumen and polished presentation skills
