Role Overview
Spec Manager responsible for driving sales of laminate/wood-based interior surface materials—targeting architects, designers, retailers, fabricators & contractors. Working within a network of distribution/merchant partnerships for order fulfillment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate specifications for projects (typically £1k–£150k).
- Engage with architects, interior designers, contractors, and end-users to secure commitment for branded products.
- Collaborate closely with field sales/business development teams, escalating projects as required.
- Contribute to diverse sector projects—from schools & hospitals to high-street retail, office spaces, sports/club facilities (e.g., Holiday Inn).
Key Requirements
Industry Experience
✔ Must have commercial specification sales experience in construction/designer retail ✔ Preference for candidates with architecting/interior design contact networks ✔ Showroom sales proximity friendly (for dealing with specifiers)
