To strengthen our dedicated team at our Hetton-le-Hole or Market Harborough site, we are looking for a:
Your Tasks Include
- Coordinate the gathering of information for the creation of new product specifications
- Develop and maintain precise product specifications, ensuring they are delivered on time, in full, and in compliance with regulatory, customer, and quality standards
- Transfer specification data into specific customer formats using various customer specification systems/portals
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to address technical queries and conduct accurate risk assessments
- Ensure new product-related information meets legal requirements and safety standards before it is added to the specification
- Keep relevant site documents updated, controlled, and managed as required by the role
- Provide documentation to customers, including policies, procedures, allergens, etc.
- Stay up to date with UK and EU food laws
- Complete customer documentation, such as SAQs and allergen risk assessments
- Review and approve packaging and labelling
- Provide technical support for new products
- Complete documentation for product certifications (e.g. Halal, Kosher, Organic) and customer-specific documentation
- Maintain accurate records

What You Bring With You
Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong foundation as a multi-tasker with a technical or quality background in food manufacturing and a degree in food sciences
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
- A logical, systematic approach to problem-solving with exemplary attention to detail
- An understanding of GMP principles, global food safety initiatives, production processes, raw materials, allergens, and finished products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- A motivated, solution-focused attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges
- Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, ensuring awareness of food legislation changes
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills
