About the Role
Learning Community Trust - Queensway School, seeks an articulate and proactive Speech and Language Lead to oversee bespoke intervention programmes across North and South Campuses. This new provision supports students with communication and interaction needs, enabling them to access the curriculum and school life more effectively.
This role involves working closely with the SEND Specialist Team and Pastoral Team, delivering empathetic, personalised support to students. Your contributions will directly enhance student well-being and educational success, reflecting the trust’s commitment to meeting young people’s unique challenges.
Programmes will be co-created with the Senior SENDCo and Pastoral Lead, ensuring tailored, high-quality interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver bespoke Speech and Language programmes aligned with student needs.
- Collaborate with SEND and Pastoral teams to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
- Align interventions with curriculum access goals for students with communication and interaction difficulties (including anxiety-related barriers).
- Act as a source of expertise and support for staff delivering related interventions.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with SEND students, particularly in communication and interaction support.
- Relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent experience).
