About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our outstanding and innovative Speech and Language Therapy Team, working within Mid Essex. We are looking for a Band 5 therapist to work across a range of pathways, including speech, social communication, complex needs (including dysphagia if you have relevant experience) and language. The post holder will be supported to excel in working independently and enjoy delivering therapy to children and young people in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities
- Supported by our well-respected and highly motivated team
- Access to regular supervision, in-house training and whole-team meetings
- Offer support/work with our assistants and associate practitioners
- Contribute to discussions on proposed local clinical guidelines, protocols and care packages
- Attend speech and language therapy team meetings, inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary meetings
- Engage with the child and family
- Liaise with nursery and school staff, and contribute to Educational Health and Care Plans when necessary
- Drive to various locations, predominantly, within Mid-Essex

Requirements
- Hold an appropriate Speech and Language Therapy degree
- Be HCPC/RCSLT registered
- Experience of working with children with speech, language and communication difficulties
- Provide training (in-person or virtually) to nursery and school staff and parents as required
