Speech and Language Therapist – Full-Time Role (London, On-Site)

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Speech and Language Therapist position based in London. The therapist will assess and support students’ speech, language, and communication needs, developing personalised treatment plans aligned with their educational and wellbeing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions (both 1:1 and in small groups)
  • Support communication in classroom and group settings
  • Advise teaching staff on strategies to promote effective communication
  • Maintain accurate clinical records
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews
  • Collaborate with families and external professionals to ensure care continuity
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic approaches into the learning environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with recognised registration (e.g., HCPC or equivalent)
  • Strong clinical skills in:
    • Speech therapy and assessment of speech and communication disorders
    • Supporting individuals with language disorders and varied communication needs
    • Dysphagia assessment and safe swallowing management (where applicable)
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in educational or special school settings
  • Ability to:
    • Design and deliver individualised intervention plans
    • Monitor progress effectively
    • Demonstrate a person-centred and inclusive approach
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation, record-keeping abilities, and multitasking skills
