Job Title & Role Overview
Speech and Language Therapist Location: Oakfield House School – Salwick, North West (PR4 0YH) Salary: Up to £53,200 per annum (37.5-hour FTE, plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus) (Bonuses: £1,500 after one month, £1,500 upon completing probation) Contract: Permanent (flexible term-time availability based on personal circumstances) Working Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
You will work within the Options Autism brand, supporting children aged 4–12 with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neurodiversity, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver bespoke speech and language assessments and interventions to pupils with diverse needs.
- Follow OFG’s Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working in a collaborative educational setting.
- Develop caseloads with full clinical supervision support.
- Contribute to staff training and consultation where required.
- Champion a person-centred, empowerment-based approach, ensuring pupil involvement in all decisions.

Essential Criteria
- Degree or Master’s in Speech and Language Therapy (+ registration with HCPC/RCSLT).
- Experience in multidisciplinary teams, supporting those with complex, diverse communication profiles.
- Familiarity with neurodiversity, trauma-informed approaches, and blanket medical insurance checks.
- Demonstrable communication skills, collaboration with families, maintaining caseloads, assessment and intervention proficiencies.
- Full UK driving license + personal vehicle access (essential).
- Compliance with safeguarding and professional standards.
