Company Description

Starjumpz is a multidisciplinary child and young person service with centres in Brighton and Crowborough, offering comprehensive diagnostic assessments and tailored therapies. The team takes a holistic, integrated approach to care, supporting all aspects of health and development through specialist clinical input before and after assessments. Services include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy, Functional Medicine, Neurofeedback, Play Therapy, and related interventions. Starjumpz is committed to helping each young person reach their full potential while empowering families with expert guidance and ongoing support.

Role Description

Full time, part time or associate (self employed) Speech and Language Therapists will be considered. This role is for a Speech and Language Therapist, based at the Crowborough centre with some flexibility for work from home. The therapist will assess and manage children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs, including those with a PDA profile and complex communication difficulties.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conducting detailed assessments
  • Developing individualized therapy plans
  • Delivering one-to-one interventions either based on own assessment or on EHCP provision
  • Monitoring progress with clear documentation

The role involves close collaboration with families, schools, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, child-centered care and contribution to case discussions and reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with speech, language and communication disorders in children and young people, as well as Neurodivergent presentations and PDA profiles
  • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and current HCPC professional registration
  • Experience in paediatric settings, ideally within multidisciplinary or neurodevelopmental services
  • Ability to work in a range of settings, including in clinics, school and in homes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust with children, families, and professionals
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and time-management abilities, with comfort in using digital record systems
  • Commitment to safeguarding, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development
