Speech & Language Graduate Teaching Assistant Wandsworth Immediate Start
Are you a Speech & Language Therapy graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with communication and language needs before pursuing further training or a career in education, therapy, or psychology?
This specialist SEND school in the London Borough of Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated learning difficulties.

Speech & Language Graduate Teaching Assistant The Role
- Support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs across the school day
- Deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of teaching staff and therapists
- Assist pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional development
- Support learning within the classroom and during small-group sessions
- Help implement communication strategies and therapy recommendations
Speech & Language Graduate Teaching Assistant What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Speech & Language Therapy, Linguistics, Psychology, Education, or a related subject. Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, Autism, or communication needs would be highly advantageous.
