Job Details

💰 Salary Range: £28,939 – £30,688 per annum (dependent on experience) ⏳ Contract: Fixed term – 1 year maternity cover 🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours per week


The Role

We are seeking a Speech and Language Technical Instructor to join our multidisciplinary team. The role requires you to work across multiple specialist units, including:

  • Brain Injury Service
  • Neuro-behavioural Rehabilitation Unit
  • Ventilator Unit
  • Specialist Nursing Home
  • Huntington’s Disease Unit

As part of the speech and language therapy service, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a support practitioner, collaborating closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists within an interdisciplinary team
  • Preparing and administering therapeutic programmes to support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties
  • Providing support during the weekly FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) clinic

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in speech and language therapy to gain hands-on experience in adult neuro-rehabilitation, specialising in palliative care.
