Spinal Injury Support Worker

Complex Care Support Worker – Waking Nights- Milton Keynes

Location: Milton Keynes

Pay Rate: £16.71 per hour

Shift Times: 8pm–8am

Days: Monday–Saturday With Flexibility On Days Preferred

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in complex care? We have an exciting opportunity to support a gentleman in his 20s living with a spinal injury and complex care needs in his own home in Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful working relationship with one client, providing person-centred support that enables him to live as independently and actively as possible.

About The Client

Our client has tetraplegia resulting from a spinal injury, with chest-down paralysis, limited hand function and a risk of autonomic dysreflexia.

He lives at home with a dedicated 24/7 care team and enjoys:

  • Going to the gym
  • TV and films
  • Music
  • Rugby
  • Spending time with family and friends

Prior to his injury, he led a very active lifestyle and remains committed to getting the most out of life. Your role will be to provide both physical and emotional support, helping him achieve this goal.

  • Previous experience in complex care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach
  • Reliability, flexibility and commitment
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

You will be confident building a positive and trusting relationship with both the client and his family while delivering high-quality care.
