As our network continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Splicing Engineer to join our Network Build team.

As a Splicing Engineer, you'll play a key role in building, maintaining and restoring our full fibre network. You'll carry out fibre splicing across new and existing infrastructure, troubleshoot network faults, and support emergency service restoration through an on-call rota.

This is a varied field-based role where you'll work independently and alongside colleagues to ensure our network is built to the highest standards while delivering excellent service to our customers and landowners.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out fibre splicing on new and existing splice enclosures across the network.
  • Working closely with the Surveying team to prioritise workloads and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Diagnosing fibre faults and restoring customer services following network damage or outages.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota to respond to emergency network incidents.
  • Working safely and efficiently to achieve team and individual performance targets.
  • Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Travelling across rural locations to complete network build and maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records using company systems and mobile technology.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in fibre splicing within an FTTP network.
  • The ability to complete high volumes of quality splicing (typically 150-200 splices per day when required).
  • Good knowledge of fibre testing equipment, or a willingness to learn OTDR testing.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when working with customers and landowners.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
  • A full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 12 months.
