Splunk Lead

Location: London, UK

Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)

Clearance: SC Eligible

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Splunk Lead / Observability Engineering Lead to design, implement, and govern enterprise-wide monitoring and observability solutions. The ideal candidate will lead Splunk platform architecture, drive automation, and establish observability best practices across large-scale enterprise environments.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10–12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Splunk & Observability Engineering
  • Hands-on expertise with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI
  • Experience designing large-scale, multi-tenant Splunk platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD automation
  • Expertise in observability (Logs, Metrics & Traces)
  • Experience integrating Splunk with ITSM, automation, and enterprise monitoring tools
  • Strong platform ownership across Design → Build → Deploy → Operate
  • Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong stakeholder management, technical leadership, and mentoring skills

  • Integrate Splunk with enterprise data sources, monitoring, and ITSM tools
  • Drive observability best practices across engineering teams
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, and monitoring coverage
  • Mentor engineers and collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and business stakeholders
