Splunk Lead
Location: London, UK
Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite)
Clearance: SC Eligible
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Splunk Lead / Observability Engineering Lead to design, implement, and govern enterprise-wide monitoring and observability solutions. The ideal candidate will lead Splunk platform architecture, drive automation, and establish observability best practices across large-scale enterprise environments.
Must-Have Skills
- 10–12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Splunk & Observability Engineering
- Hands-on expertise with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk ITSI
- Experience designing large-scale, multi-tenant Splunk platforms
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD automation
- Expertise in observability (Logs, Metrics & Traces)
- Experience integrating Splunk with ITSM, automation, and enterprise monitoring tools
- Strong platform ownership across Design → Build → Deploy → Operate
- Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong stakeholder management, technical leadership, and mentoring skills

Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise monitoring and observability strategy
- Design and automate monitoring solutions using Terraform & CI/CD
- Own and enhance the Splunk platform architecture and roadmap
- Configure and optimize Splunk ITSI
- Integrate Splunk with enterprise data sources, monitoring, and ITSM tools
- Drive observability best practices across engineering teams
- Improve platform reliability, performance, and monitoring coverage
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, and business stakeholders
