Sport Development Intern
10 hours per week
£13.45 per hour

The SaAS (Student and Academic Services) is based in the Bernard King Library and is made up of five teams: the Career Development Centre; the Counselling and Mental Health Service; the Learner Development Service, Abertay Sport and the Advisory Service.
Student Services aims to integrate the services offered and to develop a culture of continuous improvement using an evidenced-based practice model.
Additionally, Student and Academic Services also aim to provide both high quality, professional, non-judgmental and impartial counselling, advice and assistance; and up-to-date and unbiased information on a broad range of issues for former, current and prospective students.

The University now seeks to appoint a Sport Development Intern
Reporting to the Sport Development Officer, you will support the planning, delivering and developing of competitive and recreational sport opportunities for all staff and students of the University.
You will represent the Abertay student voice within internal and external networks such as the Scottish Student Sport sabbatical officer forum and British University and College Sports.
You will also liaise with relevant internal bodies and external agencies at local and national level and represent the University's interests.
The role requires an individual currently studying at Abertay University. The successful applicant must have experience of competitive and/or non-competitive sport and physical activity, must be confident and outgoing and able to communicate effectively with a diverse student population. The successful candidate must have experience with social media content, recording and presenting data and able to plan and deliver a social physical activity programme.
