Lifeguard – Parkdean Resorts
About the Role
We’re seeking attentive, safety-driven Lifeguards to help us create a secure, enjoyable, and memorable leisure experience for our guests. If you’re passionate about safety, guest service, and working as part of an energetic team, this role is perfectly suited for you.
As a Lifeguard, you’ll be vital in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests using our swimming pools and surrounding areas. This involves maintaining constant vigilance, responding professionally to incidents, and sustaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmospheres throughout our leisure facilities.
Responsibilities
- Actively supervise the swimming pool and ancillary areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Respond quickly and professionally to incidents, following emergency action plans.
- Provide first aid and emergency response as required, adhering to training protocols.
- Conduct routine water quality and chemical testing, record results, and take necessary corrective action.
- Maintain excellent standards in cleanliness, presentation, and safety across pool and leisure areas.
- Offer friendly, professional customer service and act as a positive representative of the park.
- Participate in ongoing training in areas including health & safety, lifesaving skills, customer care, and pool plant operations.

Requirements & Skills
- A valid NPLQ Lifeguard qualification – or the ability to obtain this through training.
- Desirable qualifications include Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor, Pool Plant Operations, or First Aid at Work.
- Strong customer-focused mindset, with an unwavering commitment to guest safety and experience.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment where guest welfare is key.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
- Positive, calm and proactive attitude.
