Sports Assistant
Salary/Grade: £13.05 to £13.47 per hour (Grade 4)
Hours/Days: 15 hours per week
Type: Permanent
Location: Killamarsh Active, Stanley Street, Sheffield, S21 1EL

About the Role

Killamarsh Sports Centre offers a great working environment for staff, with great new facilities for 2022. The sports centre will comprise of a 4 courts sports hall, 2 squash courts, fitness studio, spin studio, large soft play kingdom, 80 station 2 floor fitness suite, café, 4G football pitch, meeting rooms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the activity program is all running to time, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, meeting & greeting customers and working in a team environment.

- Ability to deal face to face with a full age range of customers
- A good understanding of a wide range of sports & leisure activities
- Must be physically fit & capable of heavy lifting
- Ability to carry out cleaning tasks thoroughly
- Ability to use a modern till & booking system
- Managing the facility in the absence of a Duty Officer
The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.
About Us
The post is normally based at Killamarsh Sports Centre but the successful candidate must be willing to work at any of the council’s establishments should the need arise.
