Associate Teacher in Physical Education (Sport Development Assistant – Research School Residency)
Critical — Safeguarding Responsibilities
This role carries a high level of safeguarding responsibilities. Full safeguarding checks will be carried out on the successful applicant. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013, and 2020.
About the Role
This position is ideal for a young person taking a gap year who may be considering a career in Physical Education (PE) or Sport. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience and training in a successful, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Physical Education department in delivering coaching for:
- Netball
- Hockey
- Badminton
- Cricket
- Athletics (desired)
- Assisting with planning, lessons, and student engagement
- Expertise in Hockey and/or Netball is strongly preferred.
Additional Commitments
- On-site accommodation and meals provided during term time.
- Expected to play an active role in school life beyond the classroom, including:
- One evening of boarding house duty per week.
