The Quant team at Mustard Systems creates predictive models globally recognised as best-in-class. We apply cutting-edge statistical methods to model cricket and trading strategies, often pioneering our own techniques. - How do matchups influence gameplay?
- Who are the truly top performers?
We’re seeking talented individuals to join our team and push the boundaries of modelling.
What You Can Expect
- Cutting-edge research: Investigate recent advances in modelling to extract meaningful signals from noisy data.
- Autonomy & collaboration: Work in a close-knit, collaborative team of mathematicians, enjoying high responsibility from Day One.
- Ownership of ideas: Design and build your own models—be creative, experiment freely.
- Cross-functional partnerships: Collaborate with expert traders and developers to refine your work.
- Learn from leaders: Gain insights from experienced quants shaping the company’s technical future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
