Sports Quantitative Analyst - Graduate Level

Quantitative Analyst (Sports & Trading) – Mustard Systems

The Quant team at Mustard Systems creates predictive models globally recognised as best-in-class. We apply cutting-edge statistical methods to model cricket and trading strategies, often developing our own techniques. We answer the questions captains, pundits, and traders debate:

  • What’s the best strategy in this situation?
  • How do matchups affect gameplay?
  • Who are the true best performers?

We’re seeking tallented individuals to join our team.

What You Can Expect

  • Research recent advances in modelling to better extract signals from noisy data
  • Join a close-knit, collaborative team of mathematicians, enjoying high responsibility from an early stage
  • Design and build your own models using your own ideas
  • Collaborate closely with expert traders and developers to refine and improve models

What We’re Looking For

  • A First-class degree from a top university or a 2:1 from Oxbridge
  • Degree-level study in statistics and probability theory
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and confidence to explore new approaches
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
  • An interest in sports or competitive games (No prior cricket knowledge required!)
