Sports Sales Executive

Sales Executive – Golf & Resort Business Development

About the Role

Fairmont St. Andrews, one of Scotland’s most iconic 5-star luxury hotels and resorts, invites ambitious individuals to join their commercial team. Located on the outskirts of St Andrews, the resort offers 2 championship golf courses, an award-winning spa, multiple dining venues—including a two AA Rosette restaurant—and is strategically positioned within 20 minutes of Leuchars Railway Station and 35 minutes from Dundee.

This is a fantastic opportunity to drive sales in golf days, memberships, and sports camps, working alongside the sales, golf, and marketing teams in one of Scotland’s premier golf resorts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue across all business areas, including golf days, sport camps, and corporate memberships.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with sporting organisations, golf societies, clubs, events agencies, and corporate clients.
  • Source and secure residential and non-residential sporting events (e.g., team camps, tournaments, golf days).
  • Promote and sell corporate golf memberships while growing the member base.
  • Strengthen retention and referral opportunities with existing members.
  • Develop partnerships with local, national, and international sports organisations.
  • Represent the business at industry events, networkings, exposures, and trade shows.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and familiarisation trips to enhance client experiences.
  • Ensure seamless communication with operational teams for exceptional delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and pipeline management in OPERA.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
