SEND Sports Tutor - Full Time
Location: Rotherham
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time, until the end of the academic year
Key Stages: KS1-KS3
Are you passionate about using sport to inspire young people and make a real difference in their lives?
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive SEND provision in Rotherham for a dedicated SEND Sports Tutor to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is energetic, resilient and committed to supporting children with additional needs through engaging physical education and positive relationship building.
You will work with pupils across KS1 to KS3, supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including SEMH and Autism. This role is ideal for someone who understands the power of sport in developing confidence, resilience, teamwork and emotional wellbeing.
The Role
As a SEND Sports Tutor, You Will
- Deliver engaging sports and physical activities tailored to pupils' individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils through patience, consistency and encouragement.
- Support pupils with SEMH, Autism and other additional needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through sport and physical activity.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every pupil can achieve their potential.
- Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment where every child can succeed.

The Ideal Candidate
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children or young people.
- Has experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly SEMH and Autism.
- Has a passion for sport, physical activity and helping young people develop.
- Is confident managing behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
- Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively with pupils and colleagues.
- Is resilient, patient and committed to making a lasting impact.
- Holds relevant coaching, sports or education qualifications (desirable but not essential).
