Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.
Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for an SQA Engineer to join the team to ensure that suppliers are assessed, approved and managed to meet Evolito’s and the customer's design intent, quality and process control requirements for production parts and services. You will also be responsible for developing supply chain-related procedures and processes to enable supplier management including supplier non-conformities and supplier quality risks.
Key responsibilities will include: Carrying out supplier assessments to approve and onboard new suppliers in accordance with the SQRM (Supplier Quality Requirements Manual) and regulations, in the UK and overseas Preparing Supplier Quality Plans where required to manage assessed gaps with the Evolito SQRM Reviewing and approving supplier APQP, PPAP and FAIR / LAIR submissions to international standards Working as part of the Supply Chain team to support new and preferred supplier selection in support of the commodity strategy for product lines Communication, implementation and ongoing governance of the SQRM (Supplier Quality Requirements Manual) with Evolito’s suppliers. Supporting supplier development activities with the aim of delivering year-on-year supplier QCD improvements Supporting the implementation and ongoing improvements of robust processes for supplier management and development Establishing and supporting the management of supplier scorecards monitoring quality, delivery and commercial performance Supporting the supplier audit schedule, conducting supplier audits and managing any corrective action requests Managing supplier product non-conformance actions, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner Acting as primary point of contact for supplier deviation requests Supporting supplier work transfer activities as required Supporting the implementation and subsequent maintenance of systems and processes to ensure compliance with the Evolito Business Management Systems.

Skills and experience required: Previous proven experience within an aerospace or highly regulated supply chain quality environment Knowledge of CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J Knowledge of AS9100 and process auditing Previous proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the aerospace Experience with quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5S, 6 Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools Experience with external audits and completing audit reports to a high written standard. Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques, familiarity with AS9145 preferred Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques Experience of working within a Prime or Tier 1 environment is preferred A positive team player with the ability to work under own initiative Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines Ability to work at pace in a multi-project environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Full UK driver’s license and ability to travel worldwide.
