Bath & Racquets Club | The Birley Clubs
Lead the next chapter of squash at one of London's most prestigious private members' clubs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Squash Manager to lead and develop the squash programme at the renowned Bath & Racquets Club, part of The Birley Clubs.
Steeped in sporting heritage and located in the heart of Mayfair, Bath & Racquets Club has long been a destination for Members who value outstanding facilities, exceptional service and a vibrant social community. We are now looking for an inspiring squash professional to take our programme to the next level.
This is far more than a coaching role. As Squash Manager, you will shape the future of squash at the Club, developing an engaging programme for Members of all abilities, growing participation, mentoring a team of Squash Professionals and creating a thriving squash community through coaching, competitions and social events.
Working closely with the Club Director, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, driving commercial performance while delivering an outstanding member experience that reflects the high standards of The Birley Clubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Club's squash programme, creating an engaging and inclusive experience for Members.
- Deliver exceptional individual and group coaching for players of all ages and abilities.
- Manage, mentor and develop the team of Squash Professionals, ensuring consistently high coaching standards.
- Build strong relationships with Members, encouraging participation and fostering a welcoming squash community.
- Organise leagues, tournaments, ladders and social squash events throughout the year.
- Create and deliver an annual squash calendar that maximises participation and engagement.
- Drive the commercial success of the squash department by increasing coaching participation, court utilisation and revenue opportunities.
- Monitor departmental performance through regular reporting on participation, coaching activity and member engagement.
- Continually review and enhance the Club's squash offering, introducing innovative ideas and best practice where appropriate.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the squash department, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and service.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Club to support wider member events and initiatives.

About You
You will be an energetic and commercially aware squash professional with a genuine passion for coaching, leadership and delivering exceptional member experiences.

You will have:
- Proven experience in a senior squash coaching or leadership role.
- A recognised squash coaching qualification.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A successful track record of increasing participation and developing thriving squash programmes.
- A proactive, innovative and member-focused approach.
- The confidence to build lasting relationships with Members and inspire players of all abilities.
- Experience within a private members' club, premium sporting venue or luxury hospitality environment would be advantageous.
