Sr. Advance Manufacturing Engineer

Senior Advance Manufacturing Engineer – Quest Global

About the Role

Be part of Quest Global’s mission to solve engineering challenges and create a brighter future! As a Senior Advance Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll drive continuous improvement, production optimisation, and new product introductions, supporting cross-functional teams to achieve cost, delivery, and quality objectives. Your technical leadership will ensure the highest standards are maintained while empowering diverse teams to innovate.

With over 25 years of expertise in engineering services, Quest Global thrives on bold thinking, collaboration, and a dynamic workplace culture that values every voice. Here, curiosity fuels progress, and your work makes a tangible difference—not just in products, but in the world.

This role is exclusive to SOLE UK NATIONALS due to security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Process Innovation

  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving to manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure build quality, compliance with standards, and adherence to programme schedules.
  • Act as the communication bridge between manufacturing/assembly and engineering, ensuring clear and actionable directives for cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:
    • Gear profile generation (hobbing, shaping, profile grinding)
    • Finish grinding (journals, cones, thrust faces)
    • Liaison between Design Engineering and machine tool operators to align technical requirements.

Manufacturing & Design Support

  • Assess component manufacturability and machine tool capability, leading a right-first-time approach to support design projects during design reviews.
  • Lead PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), including:
    • Process mapping
    • Risk mitigation strategies
    • Creation/approval of procedures and protocols
  • Conduct make-versus-buy assessments for complex machined components, considering:
    • Capability (technical feasibility)
    • Cost & capacity constraints
    • Risk & certification requirements
  • Define manufacturing routes and process assumptions for new/modified designs.
  • Provide manufacturing sign-off at key design gates (PDR, CDR, release to manufacture).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
