Senior Banking/Payments Sales Professional – Key Account & Relationship Builder

We are looking for a dynamic Banking/Payments Sales Professional and Key Relationship Builder with:
- A strong background in banking, payments, or fintech
- The ability to engage executives on strategic priorities while deeply diving into technical discussions
- Expertise in leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in a consultative, value-driven manner
- Passion for analysing business models, quantifying ROI, and guiding customers toward confident investment decisions
- Drive and autonomy in managing the full sales process, from prospecting to closing
Your role will involve escalating business growth, shaping platform partnership strategies, and nurturing B2B relationships across financial institutions.

Drive Account Growth & Expansion
- Manage and grow a named account list, developing targeted account plans to expand business with existing clients and acquire new logos
- Identify and engage key decision-makers across executives, product teams, and engineering stakeholders

Strategic Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships to secure executive buy-in
- Ensure tailored engagement at every sales stage, aligning solutions with business objectives

Sales Cycle Ownership
- Own the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to closure
- Develop and execute outbound strategies to generate and nurture new opportunities

Sales Process Improvement
- Combine appropriate digital assets and contribute to refining sales processes for better team performance
- Support data-driven opportunities tracking to track targets

Collaborative Influence
- Liaise with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to shape evolving product directions
- Help establish scalable engagement models across new B2B partnerships
Requirements

Sales Experience:
- 5+ years in full-cycle, quota-carrying sales (targeted for banking, fintech, or payments)
- Proven ACV deal closing track record in consultants/cross-sector B2B sales

Stakeholder Expertise:
- Sales experience selling to executives, product managers, and technical leaders

Sales & Analytical Skills:
- Analytics-focused mindset – strong at deconstructing business workflows and ROI-based case building

Relationship & Growth Mindset:
- Ability to exceed quarterly targets in competitive environments
- A collaborative sales mindset with accountability for team performance improvements
- High emotional intelligence with strong presentation skills

Fintech & Industry Optimization Knowledge is preferred (DFP, UK/EU regulatory awareness is a bonus)

Familiarity with digital assets, embedded finance, or AIdriven modernization strategies still count as relevant
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in FinTech, RegTech, or API-first solutions
- Understanding of open banking standards/UK/EU compliance frameworks
Location & Flexibility
- Primary base in London, with flexibility to work 2+ days per week in the office and occasional travel
