A leading global energy trading company is looking to hire an experienced Senior Crude Operations Specialist to join its London-based trading operations team.
Supporting front office crude traders, the role involves taking ownership of the end-to-end operational execution of physical crude oil cargoes, working across North Sea and international markets in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end operational execution of physical crude oil cargoes.
- Coordinate closely with traders, shipping, terminals, inspection companies, and counterparties.
- Manage nominations, voyage orders, cargo documentation, Letters of Credit, insurance, and vessel clearances.
- Support operational aspects of North Sea crude trading.
- Resolve operational issues while minimising commercial and financial risk.
- Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
Requirements
- Proven experience in physical crude oil operations within a commodity trading house, oil major, or similar trading environment.
- Strong understanding of the full crude trading lifecycle.
- Experience managing cargo documentation, inspections, vessel nominations, Letters of Credit, and operational contract execution.
- Knowledge of North Sea crude operations, BFOE, lifting agreements, and spot/term contracts would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with traders and multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven trading environment.
