AWS Professional Services Delivery Consultant – Security

AWS Professional Services (ProServe) is seeking a hands-on, security-focused Delivery Consultant to join our global team that drives cloud transformation and security innovation. You will design, build, and implement security solutions in real customer environments, embedding security as a foundational requirement rather than an afterthought. Your focus will be on automating, scaling, and operationalising preventive and detective controls across AWS workloads.

About the Role

As a Delivery Consultant – Security, you will work at the intersection of cloud architecture and security engineering, collaborating with customers to develop automated, scalable, and sustainable security architectures. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strategic guidance, fostering environments where security is engineered by default—through infrastructure as code, control design, and tasty-pattern deployment.

This is a role for builders. You’ll:

  • Write security workloads from the ground up using AWS-native automation (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform).
  • Design cloud-native control frameworks, encompassing identity, network, data protection, detection & response, and infrastructure security.
  • Proactively anticipate risk and foster agility through architecture-driven controls, allowing customers to move securely without friction.
  • Partner with both customers and the AWS Partner Network to formulate and implement threat-informed security designs and footprint optimisation.

The AWS Professional Services team delivers on our goal to make the cloud secure by default, secure by design, and secure at scale. We’re experts at innovating within emerging technologies (AI/Generative AI, Sovereign Cloud, and OS/Android-first approaches) while helping every customer innovate on cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Core Delivery

  • Design and implement automated security controls: Using infrastructure as code and AWS security services to secure customer environments per their risk needs and governance constraints.
  • Solve cross-domain security challenges: Combine expertise in:
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
    • Network and DDoS Protection
    • Data Protection (encryption, key management)
    • Threat Detection & Incident Response (Security Hub, GuardDuty)
    • Application Security (WAFs, Network Firewalls)
    • Cloud Operations Security
  • Partner across teams: Collaborate with fellow consultants, customer engineering teams and account management to contextualise and prioritise security requirements, while identifying opportunities for deeper AWS impact.

Risk & Innovation

  • Proactively manage risks: Identify, assess, and escalate security risks across workstreams; present remediation recommendations and design safe-forward resilience flows.
  • Contribute to the broader ProServe security practice: Actively engage in internal practice reuse by sharing insights, building reusable architectures, and contributing frameworks to help future customer engagements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
