Role Summary
As a Senior Director Localization (Learning & Operations), you serve as the critical link between our proven U.S. operational models and the specific regulatory and cultural requirements of our new international markets (Europe, Asia). You are responsible for the end-to-end adaptation of training materials, knowledge bases, and operational playbooks. You will work closely with local Master Driving Instructors and product teams to ensure that our global operational standards translate into high-fidelity, locally compliant, and effective learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Content Adaptation & Localization: Audit US based training materials, IKBs, and playbooks. Balance content reuse with necessary redesign to ensure materials are culturally relevant and accurate for local road infrastructure, signage, and driving behaviors.
- Regulatory Alignment: Partner with geo-specific Master Driving Instructors to ensure all procedures and training scenarios strictly adhere to local highway codes, traffic laws, and regional safety mandates.
- Collaborative Redlining: Translate expert feedback and redlines into clear, actionable updates within our content management systems.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the strategic bridge between global product teams, U.S.-based operations, and local in-country experts. Facilitate a frictionless, accelerated review and approval cycle.
- Assessment & Optimization: Develop localized assessments targeting region-specific road risks and ensure all learning tools are optimized for local language, iconography, and usability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in Learning Experience Design, Technical Writing, or Localization/Translation QA, preferably within a highly regulated or technical field (e.g., AV, Automotive, Logistics).
- Strategic Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple content streams, hit aggressive launch timelines, and adapt rapidly to changing regulatory requirements.
- Detail Orientation: Elite editorial skills; ability to refine documentation for absolute linguistic clarity and technical accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge operational gaps between global teams and local stakeholders.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency with collaborative editing platforms, Google Workspace, and content management systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for the target region (e.g., EU road safety standards).
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment, particularly in supporting international market entry.
- Familiarity with translation workflows and managing bilingual documentation lifecycles.
