Product Security Team at NielsenIQ
The Product Security team at NielsenIQ is dedicated to enhancing business application security and making product teams accountable throughout the software development lifecycle. It not only protects NIQ revenue, it also enables revenue generation through faster delivery of higher quality and more secure NIQ products.
NielsenIQ is recruiting a Senior Director of Product Security to further bolster and mature its product security programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and driving the rollout of maturing security capabilities and practices across all geographies and business units.
As the Senior Director of Product Security, you will be responsible for leading and driving the implementation of the product security strategy for NielsenIQ. This role will ensure that the highest standards of security are integrated into all product engineering processes, from inception to deployment and maintenance.
You will oversee product security capabilities within a multi-national matrixed environment. This position will involve working closely with Cybersecurity and Engineering leaders, as well as business units, technical and non-technical stakeholders, educating them and driving the adoption and maturity of the NIQ’s Product & Application Security programs.
Job Description
- Define and drive the implementation of the strategy in line with the Product Security Mission & Vision.
- Manage a large team of product security engineers across multiple workstreams, following agile/lean processes.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity leadership team to support delivery of its strategic initiatives.
- Work with and influence product and engineering leaders to ensure that products are secure on delivery and implement provided security capabilities.
- Proactively manage the delivery of enhancements to Product Security services / capabilities.
- Report on security key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements across engineering teams’ security posture.
- Educate peers and be an advocate for a Secure-by-Design product engineering culture.

Qualifications
- Experience moving security function from a gatekeeper to a business enabler capacity.
- Proven track record with leading security initiatives from concept to production.
- Experience leading product/application security team.
- Working experience in application security in either a “builder”, “defender” or “breaker” capacity.
- Working experience of modern DevSecOps tools and processes.
- Self-starter, technology and security hobbyist, enthusiast.
- Lifelong learner with endless curiosity.

- Ability to combine ideas/concepts into value-add propositions.
- Ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable guidance for any audience.
