Description

Amazon is seeking Site Process Engineers to work in the EUCF Process Engineering (EUCF PE) team. The Site Process Engineer is an onsite position and will be based in EUK1.

The Site Process Engineer works alongside with the FC Senior Leadership Team, while keeping high collaboration with EUCF PE functions. This role is responsible to deploy initiatives, build networking and relationship in the FC and drive compliance for the initiatives within an assigned timeline. The Site Process Engineer initiates and implements EU wide improvement activities. This role requires the ability to demonstrate ownership for initiatives, understand the initiatives in details, and influence to deliver meaningful results translating to tangible productivity and efficiency gains in the FC.

Key job responsibilities

  • The Process Engineer leads Back to Basics initiatives by identifying top opportunities through analysis of bottom 50% processes, comparing metrics against EU FC benchmarks, and implementing improvement plans with Operations Management.
  • They oversee FC improvement programs, conduct deep-dive analysis of process performance, and manage action plans while collaborating with central PE functions and regional Site PEs for best practices and variation reduction.
  • In continuous improvement, they drive network best practice implementation, strengthen innovation frameworks, and ensure significant projects ($10M+ savings) are properly submitted through OP1 Project Intake.
  • They own the deployment of EU network initiatives, ensuring timely execution and compliance while supporting tests and pilots.
  • Partnership with FC Operations is maintained through daily Gemba walks, weekly LSC Meetings with Leadership Teams, and building strong relationships with Site Leaders and Senior Management.
  • They provide support for process-related ad hoc tasks (limited to 10% of time) and may lead expanded EU Projects across multiple FCs.
  • During Q4, they integrate with the site management operational team.
  • The role requires 0-10% travel within their area of responsibility, subject to business needs.

About The Team

The EUCF PE team leads process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement across the EU Customer Fulfilment Network. They establish best-in-class performance standards, implement technological advancements, and enhance operational leaders' technical knowledge. The team equips operations with expertise to deliver technology and process improvements while reducing performance variation between shifts, buildings, and regions. Working collaboratively with Central Teams, they prioritize resources to improve process metrics across all paths.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations or process improvement
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics tracking
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to travel 0-10% within the region
  • Flexibility to work in shifts when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • 5+ years in operations management or process engineering
  • Experience in warehouse/fulfillment operations
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced data analysis tools knowledge
  • Experience with Lean methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience influencing without direct authority
  • Track record of leading cross-functional projects
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with process documentation and standardization
