Job Description
What is it all about?
The Sr. Finance Manager; Financial Analysis is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. This role performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance, gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. The position also conducts economic research and studies in areas such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the impact of governmental requirements. The role is the finance business partner for both B2B Travel within VCS as well as Visa Government Solutions (both business leaders are located in London). The role reports to the VP/CFO of VCS and VGS Finance.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

What we expect of you, day by day:
- Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.
- Perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
- Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
- Conduct economic research and studies in areas such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.
- Support the preparation and analysis of operating metrics, utilizing data to create process efficiencies, identify bottlenecks, and initiate process improvements.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What we're after...
- Significant experience in Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders, providing financial insights and strategic guidance that support business growth and decision-making.
- Strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated expertise in building financial models, analyzing trends, and evaluating business performance to influence strategic outcomes.
- Experience conducting financial and economic analysis, including investment assessments, business case development, and return-on-investment evaluations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional accounting or finance qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience supporting international, product, technology, consulting, or government-focused businesses would be advantageous.
- Comfortable leveraging emerging technologies, including Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to improve productivity, analysis, and decision-making.
