Description

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to- market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. In this role, you will work with our most advanced and innovative customers that implement HPC solutions, quantitative trading algorithms, and advanced scientific compute software on our (accelerated) compute instances to help them get the best price/performance, and scale-out possible. You will work directly with software vendors that provide algorithms to support them and deliver their software better on AWS. You will work directly with the AWS services teams, our partners, customers, and research and other institutes to make sure AWS is the best place to run HPC clusters and advanced workloads.

Key job responsibilities
Own the GTM strategy and execution for HPC and Accelerated Compute in UKI collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists. Leverage your deep expertise to understand the most important customer problems and enable account aligned teams in the field to solve them. Lead cross-functional initiatives to expand markets/accounts, develop scalable programs to drive adoption, and identify new opportunities within your domain. Develop and execute goals to drive long term growth in your geography, while meeting/exceeding revenue and non-revenue driven KPI’s. Bring customer data and market signals back to Worldwide teams to ensure we are prioritizing the building of the right features and services for our customers. Delivering monthly/quarterly business reviews and operational planning documents for your respective tech domain and geography. Drive geographical scale through external partners; Partner with cross functional teams across Solution Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, AWS Partners, and Training and execute customer acquisition programs and strategies.

Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements Experience in a professional field or military Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Experience working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking Experience solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting Experience working with Advanced Compute technologies including, but not limited to: Accelerated Compute, High Performance Compute, Visual/Spatial Compute, and/or IoT. Experience working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
