As a Senior Insights Partner on the Sales Insights team, you’ll conduct rigorous analysis and craft data-driven stories to provide tailor-made insights. Your work teaches advertisers extraordinary lessons about customers, markets, trends, and brand potential, helping them maximize investments on Pinterest.

About the Role

You’ll partner with advertisers from the UK Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Emerging (non-endemic) sectors to drive revenue. This involves:

  • Translating unstructured business challenges into structured data analyses, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence.
  • Working independently and collaboratively to produce high-impact reports, presentations, and expert recommendations.
  • Identifying opportunities to scale and improve the broader Insights team’s efficiency using Pinterest’s AI capabilities, from question formulation to reporting.
  • Growing cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure all parties remain align with strategic priorities.

Data & Insights

  • Conduct data-driven analyses and storytelling grounded in first-party platform data to support revenue objectives across UK CPG and Emerging sectors.
  • Incorporate external, third-party data (e.g., ComScore, GlobalWebIndex) to augment analysis and offer broader market context.
  • Execute and present custom commissioned research through partnerships with external agencies.
  • Balance algorithmically-assisted approaches with critical human verification of data, findings, and outputs, ensuring enterprise-grade insights quality.

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management

  • Present and socialize findings directly to key clients, contributing to workshops, reports, and strategic sessions to influence advertiser investment decisions.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Creative, Operations) to make certain insights are seamless and revisions turn into innovative action plans.
  • Translate ambiguous business queries into prioritized deliverables, whether operational workflow projects, technology improvements or team-scale initiatives.

AI Integration

  • Leverage Pinterest’s AI toolkit to optimize insights from question framing to presentation—boosting insights quality, speed, and efficacy, while maintaining an awareness of AI’s boundaries.

Requirements

Technical & Analytical

  • 6+ years of experience in data-driven problem-solving and compelling data storytelling for business impact.
  • 4+ years with SQL, enabling complex data transformation and query execution.
  • Proven ability to identify and validate insights from AI, ensuring sound use of automated outputs through evaluation, source-checking, validation, and peer review.
  • Demonstrated track record of executing independent work, ensuring correctness, clarity and effectively influencing audiences—but also the confidence to challenge commercial logic and findings.
  • Experience planning and managing research-focused initiatives, aggregating customer, competitor, or market insights from varied sources.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Ability to craft clear, insightful narratives using datavisualization tools like Tableau/GgPlot, or strong probability to learn. Prior slides_Initciata_xperience in Google Slides presentations is a powerful asset for distilling insights.
  • Strong storytelling skills across both technical teams (internal stakeholders) and business clients (executives, clients, and non-data users).
  • Exceptional ambassadorship skills in promoting and building cross-functional partnerships.
  • Must relish both collaboration in dynamic environments and the pressures of delivering under set timelines.

** Preferred Experience**

  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Board Games, Media, Online, Health, Emerging or Non-Endemic Sectors within an insights, analytical or advertising capacity—particularly for a UK context.
  • Prior campaign or performance feedback research or at an Ad Agency, Mega Agency, or Research Agency.
  • Commission & delivery of quantitative-qualitative mixed-methods research.
  • Proven record of leading and delivering successful projects or initiatives.

Background & Logistics

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Qualifications in business, economics, public policy, or a related discipline (the experience can stand in alone).
  • Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Pinterest’s London offices (for an approximate 1x/week mandatory in-office day).
