Role Overview

Lead and deliver IT services and solutions that support manufacturing and operations sites across the EMEA region. This role ensures stable, secure, and compliant IT operations at our production facilities.

Collaborate closely with site leadership, quality teams, engineering, and global IT to align technology solutions with operational priorities. Drive initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance, operational resilience, and digital plant transformation.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic IT Support & Alignment

  • Partner with IT Shared Services to provide end-to-end IT support for EMEA manufacturing and operations sites, ensuring high availability of critical systems.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure and operational technology (OT) integration, including:
    • Networks
    • End-user computing
    • Shop floor systems
    • Manufacturing execution systems (MES)
    • Laboratory systems
    • Site-based applications

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards, including:
    • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
    • GxP (Good [X] Practice) requirements
    • Data integrity
    • Cybersecurity controls
  • Maintain compliance across all supported sites.

Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate site IT teams and regional resources, fostering a high-performance service culture aligned with business needs.
  • Partner with global IT to deploy enterprise systems and digital manufacturing initiatives, such as:
    • Automation
    • Data analytics
    • Cloud-enabled platforms
    • Cybersecurity controls

Digital Transformation & Innovation

  • Drive digital adoption for IT teams and business partners, supporting AI and automation strategies.
  • Enable digital transformation initiatives to improve:
    • Manufacturing efficiency
    • Visibility
    • Data-driven decision-making

Operational Excellence & Crisis Management

  • Manage incident response, problem resolution, and capacity planning to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies and foster continuous improvement.
  • Oversee site expansions, technology upgrades, system validations, and integrations across the EMEA region.

Vendor & Escalation Management

  • Manage third-party vendors and providers supporting site IT operations.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for critical manufacturing-impacting incidents.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in IT management roles, preferably in a large-scale, global organization.
    • Strong experience in strategic planning, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, and driving digital transformation.
    • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and IT infrastructure.
  • Leadership:
    • Excellent leadership skills with a record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
    • Ability to effectively lead teams in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Management & Project Skills:
    • Expertise in project management, prioritization, and multitasking multiple initiatives.
    • Deep understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Influence:
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Demonstrated experience in regional or multi-site IT operations.
  • Travel Requirement:
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% across EMEA sites, as needed.
