About the Role

The Sr Manager, Procurement Partner for the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) (EMEA / APAC) plays a pivotal role in:

  • Contributing to the development of multi-year strategies and business plans for the Division
  • Leading execution of initiatives and programs that align with both short- and long-term goals
  • Ensuring continuity of supply, quality, cost, and operational performance
  • Engaging internal and external partners across cross-functional teams to advance key business drivers

Key responsibilities include:

  • Risk mitigation while leveraging technology to improve processes, systems, and cost ownership
  • Driving process optimization
  • Aligning suppliers and quality initiatives with cost savings

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Process Focus

  • Provide rationale and direction to internal business groups on supplier/supply chain strategies
  • Deliver against strategic procurement priorities, including:
    • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives: delivery, quality, service, cost, innovation, and growth
    • Operational supplier metrics
    • Monthly Value Capture Reporting and stakeholder communication on organizational impact
  • Act as primary escalation point for regional supplier challenges and coordinate multi-functional resolution

  • Support regulatory compliance via internal systems (e.g., tracking, audits, change controls)
  • Collaborate with site teams to gather Category Strategy & Sourcing requirements
  • Rationalize vendor base for category-focused optimization
  • Negotiate divisional requirements and drive cost-saving initiatives

Leadership & Change Management

  • Lead a team of procurement partners across all establishments in assigned regions
  • Own key strategic programs, including cross-functional partnerships with:
    • Contract Manufacturing
    • Research & Development (RnD)
    • Engineering
  • Provide strategic leadership on performance metrics for:
    • Supply continuity (Right First Time – RFT)
    • On-Time in Full (OTIF) compliance
    • Purchase Price Variance (PPV) savings
    • Quality Assurance (QA) standards
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COE) to develop and implement category strategies
  • Enable culture and process change via Single Sourcing Model Framework (SSMF) Methodology
  • Guarantee progressive staff development, targeting improved Employee Involvement Survey results

How to Qualify

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Materials Management, or related field
  • MBA (preferred)

Experience

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of functional Procurement/Category Management experience, with:

  • 3+ years of supplier negotiations
  • 3+ years global sourcing in multinational manufacturing, including “Cradle to Grave” logistics execution
  • 3+ years expertise in electronic sourcing tools (RFI, RFQ, reverse auctions)
  • 5 or more years of commodity marketing or procurement management experience
  • 3+ years leading/mentoring procurement teams with a focus on coaching, performance management
