Job Description
Profile Characteristics:
- Strong analytical ability
- High degree of ownership & accountability
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Experience with modern e-commerce platforms required (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience with website UI/UX and marketing content design/curation required
- Experience with product management or strategic marketing preferred
Expected background:
- 5+ years of experience managing an online B2B store
- Track record of delivering high single digit / double digit annual growth
- Pharmaceutical/Life sciences/Analytical instrumentation experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead development and execution of comprehensive growth strategies for ~$10M annual sales e-commerce channel, with accountability to drive double digit growth by partnering with marketing, product management, and commercial leaders
- Development Roadmap: Own the e-commerce platform roadmap; identify, gather requirements, assess feasibility, and prioritize features / enhancements based on customer VOCs, business value, and technical complexity
- Project Controls: Own relationships with external development support and solution vendors, manage operational costs against growth objectives, and drive strategic investments
- Governance: Develop standard reporting for e-commerce sales (including GA4 analytics) and lead KPI & action tracking reviews with key stakeholders
- Customer Engagement: Deliver improvements to customer experience, gathering and tracking feedback through surveys, VOCs, A/B testing, and engagement metrics
- Digital Marketing: Collaborate with marketing to increase website traffic / conversion rates by curating marketing content, optimizing UI/UX, improving SEO, and executing growth initiatives including email campaigns and promotions
- Store Management: Oversee product listings, taxonomy, attributes, imagery, and resource documentation, collaborating with product and marketing teams to ensure accuracy
- Operational Execution: Drive the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce platform, including technical inquiries, product catalog updates, and customer experience
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging digital technologies to inform innovation and maintain a competitive edge
