Description

Join Amazon's Talent Solutions’ Core Science and Engineering organization as a Senior Business Operations Manager at the forefront of talent evaluation and development for the world's most customer-obsessed company. This highly visible role will shape the future of Amazon's talent using advanced machine learning technologies and by partnering directly with PXT (People Experience and Technology) and Amazon leadership to drive transformative initiatives, operational excellence, and strategic innovation. You'll have the unique opportunity to influence how we hire and develop the best talent across all of Amazon's businesses globally.

Key Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a key strategic partner to Amazon's Talent Solutions’ Core Science and Engineering, you will architect and execute solutions that directly impact our most strategic talent initiatives. This role demands both big thinking and precise execution, as you'll be responsible for:

  • Driving strategic planning and execution across Core Science and Engineering, including 3-Year Planning and annual planning (OP1/OP2)
  • Owning mission-critical business operations and inspection mechanisms that keep our organization operating at peak performance
  • Leading innovative initiatives that strengthen our organization's capabilities to improve quality of talent
  • Developing scalable frameworks that become the standard for how we operate and grow
  • Partnering with partner teams to translate data insights into actionable solutions that drive meaningful change

Role

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can toggle between strategic thinking and tactical execution, using data to drive decisions and influence across multiple stakeholders and geographies. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how we build and transform Amazon's talent evaluation and development strategy. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of:

Basic Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 7+ years of HR or business function experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
  • Experience working with global cross-functional teams
  • Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics, and driving overall insights or analysis
  • Experience working with and protecting confidential and sensitive HR information
  • Experience with high-quality document preparation and presentation
  • Master's degree, or Master's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field
