About the Role: Operations Trust Team Lead
The purpose of the Operations Trust Team is to oversee and ensure comprehensive privacy compliance for the Operations (Ops) organization. Our mission is to guarantee that individuals are never caught off guard by how we handle data, and to consistently create transparency and accuracy in our privacy documentation that excites regulators.
As part of this leadership team:
- You’ll act as a subject matter expert in privacy.
- Collaborate across business, legal, and technology teams.
- Ensure our privacy documentation is accurate, complete, and transparent.
Key Responsibilities

Manage Privacy Documentation
- Identify, draft, and maintain Records of Processing (RoPs/ROPAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Assist in scaling the privacy documentation program.

Govern AI Initiatives
- Conduct AI risk classifications.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance
- Approve access and deletion requests via data access assessments, redaction determinations, and other related documentation.

Automate Privacy Workflows
- Develop and implement automated and manual systems to improve privacy processes.

Analytics and Improvement
- Design, analyze, and establish metrics to monitor and enhance the documentation program’s performance.

Regulatory Leadership
- Apply global privacy regulatory and operational expertise to the Ops organization to ensure top-notch customer experiences.

Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Legal and Operations to embed privacy considerations in projects and decisions.

Stay Ahead of Compliance
- Maintain a reliable understanding of privacy regulation trends and industry developments.

Operational Deep Dives & Privacy Risk Mitigation
- Perform deep analyses of business processes and systems to detect and mitigate privacy risks & compliance exposures.

Create Internal Documentation
- Develop supporting materials such as executive reports, standard operating procedures, and frequently asked question (FAQ) guides.

Multi-Tasking Under Pressure
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with urgency.

Navigating Ambiguity
- Comfortably adjust when facing ambiguity and unexpected challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in privacy governance, compliance, or risk management.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining privacy programs including:
- RoPs/ROPAs
- DPIAs
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
- Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs)
- Data Mapping
- Proven experience in a privacy or security role, with a strong foundation in global regulations and industry standards.
- Proven experience managing privacy programs at scale.
- 1+ years of leading multi-team projects with tight deadlines, utilizing both automated and manual systems.
- 1+ years of experience supporting business stakeholders globally with privacy efforts.
- Profound knowledge of global privacy regulations such as:
- GDPR
- CCPA/CPRA
- Digital Markets Act (DMA)
- EU AI Act
- LGPD (Brazil)
- PIPL (China)
- Other pending privacy legislation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects.
- Strong ability to effectively communicate complex privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable using data and metrics to analyze and drive process improvements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal micromanagement.
- Advanced degree (Juris Doctor) preferred, especially in privacy-related fields.
- Certifications in privacy, such as:
- CIPP/US
- CIPP/E
- AIGP
- CIPM
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
