Senior Procurement Specialist
Shape commercial outcomes that support better health for millions – one sourcing decision at a time.
Your new role
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will act as a trusted Procurement Business Partner to assigned business areas within Novo Nordisk UK. You will lead sourcing initiatives and commercial activities across a broad range of indirect spend categories, working closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, develop sourcing strategies and secure the best possible commercial outcomes.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as a Procurement Business Partner for assigned business areas, leading sourcing projects from opportunity identification through to contract award
- Conducting market analysis and supplier assessments to support sourcing decisions, and negotiating commercial agreements and contractual terms
- Managing supplier relationships and performance reviews, driving innovation and sustainability initiatives
- Driving procurement governance and compliance through established procurement processes and systems
- Identifying and delivering value creation opportunities through sourcing and supplier management activities
- Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to achieve business objectives, utilising procurement data and insights to support decision-making and performance reporting
- Working closely with UK, Regional and Global Procurement colleagues to ensure Novo Nordisk secures high-quality products and services whilst maintaining strong governance and compliance standards

Your new department
The Procurement team sits within Finance & Operations and plays a critical role in supporting the UK business through strategic sourcing, supplier management, governance and value creation activities. As a trusted business partner, Procurement supports key business priorities by identifying opportunities for innovation, managing supplier relationships, delivering sourcing projects and helping stakeholders make informed commercial decisions.
Your Skills & Qualifications
We are seeking an individual who combines strong commercial acumen with outstanding stakeholder management capabilities. To succeed in this role, you will typically possess:
- Experience within Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or a related commercial function, including leading sourcing projects and supplier negotiations
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a complex environment
- Experience analysing data and translating insights into actions
- Understanding of contract management, supplier performance management and procurement governance
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience; CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
