Sr. Property Surveyor
The Sr. Property Surveyor will oversee property-related tasks, ensuring the effective maintenance and management of assets within the not-for-profit sector. This permanent role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while managing a portfolio of properties.
Client Details
Our client is a leading housing provider responsible for maintaining a large and diverse residential portfolio. With a strong focus on resident safety, asset performance, and service excellence, they are investing in their Property Directorate and are seeking a Senior Property Surveyor to lead on complex repairs, damp and mould cases, structural defects, and specialist surveying matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor to combine technical expertise with team leadership, helping to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality homes for residents.
Description
- Leading a specialist team responsible for complex repairs, damp and mould cases, building defects, and property-related investigations.
- Diagnosing structural issues, building failures, and maintenance defects, recommending effective remedial solutions.
- Undertaking detailed inspections, surveys, and defect investigations across residential properties.
- Managing specialist caseloads including damp and mould, insurance-related works, complex repairs, and non-routine maintenance.
- Applying HHSRS principles to identify risks and ensure compliance with housing and safety standards.
- Providing technical advice and support to colleagues, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring performance, case management, and record keeping across the team.
- Supporting planned maintenance, capital works, and resident home improvement applications.
- Driving service improvements, operational efficiencies, and best practice across the property function.
- Building strong relationships with residents and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer outcomes.

Profile
- Significant experience within housing, local authority, consultancy, contractor, or residential property environments.
- Strong knowledge of complex repairs, building defects, damp and mould, and property diagnostics.
- Experience leading or mentoring surveyors or technical property teams.
- Sound understanding of HHSRS, building pathology, and residential construction.
- Experience investigating structural issues and managing remedial works.
- Knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates and repairs delivery processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A resident-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.

Job Offer
- Salary: £58,664 - £61,751
- Permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
