The GPU IP team seeks diverse talent across architecture, software drivers, compiler, performance, power, and modelling to accelerate innovation.

Role: GPU Compiler Engineer

(Expert level, multidisciplinary influencing role)

Core Responsibilities

  • Define core GPU compiler software architecture and key interfaces.
  • Develop and implement GPU compiler pipelines, including linking, optimisations, and transformations.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Driver teams to integrate new GPU architectures, APIs, and runtime APIs.
    • HW teams to optimise performance and reduce power consumption.
  • Contribute to next-gen GPU architecture ASIC/PoC designs with deep API/ Compiler impact.
  • Execute and meet timelines using Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • Analyse and debug low-/mid-level issues in code generation and optimisation.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relations internally and externally (allocation pulls, etc.).

Requirements & Qualifications

EducationBS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.Driven to specialise in GPU architecture or compiler tools (good signal selector).
Experience8+ years in compiling/instrumental technology (WSL cross-architecture compiler, assembler, linker, MIPS/ARM reflector + optimiser projects).Focus on GPU/Optics/Rene or GPU assembly compilation (in particular: SIMD batch handling/ rewriting).
2+ years of GPU compiler chain development experience focused on custom GPU backend workload balancing.Extensive LLVM compiler toolchain engineering with head-ahead RR/OSCM projects.
Senior Front-end/compiler expertise with optimisations, code generation, and handling emphasised.Vulkan/D3D/OpenCL API stack familiarity.
Technical ProficiencyMandatory knowledge of objective sharing (sea_uuid, instruction costs) and optimisations for GPU stack (shader compiler, DCE, linking, decommission cycle optimisation).
Coding with C++, direct silicon/Interface ICP design, and hard-core debugging (CLI + high level).Experience applying AI/ML to tooling, optimisations, or performance tuning as a viable holistic enhancement.
Soft SkillsExcellent written verbal communication for cross-word review, issue tracking, and tool problem-solving.
Self-driven problem solver with root-cause capabilities and debugging excellence.
