About the Role
Part of the GPU IP development team, this position focuses on software architecture, optimisations, and innovation for MediaTek’s cutting-edge GPU solutions—critical across mobile SoC, laptops, IoT, AI, VR/AR, and automotive. You’ll collaborate across architecture, driver, and hardware teams to deliver highly efficient, scalable GPU compiler software that powers the next generation of connected devices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and refine the GPU compiler architecture, defining optimal interfaces and pipelines.
- Develop and implement compiler optimisations, transformations, and linking to enhance performance.
- Work closely with driver engineers and hardware teams to enable new APIs and HV features.
- Drive performance and power optimisation improvements for NVIDIA/AMD GPUs.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones with precision.
- Debug, analyse, and resolve code-generation and compilation issues.
- Influencing the architecture direction of next-gen GPU solutions.
- Building strong cross-functional relationships inside MediaTek and externally.
Requirements
- BA/MS/PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven compiler or toll development experience, including assembler/linker customisation.
- Hands-on C/C++ programming expertise.
- Knowledge of modern compiler optimisation techniques (e.g., loop unrolling, predicate analysis).
- Strong LLVM proficiency (e.g., frontend/backend contribution).
- Excellent written/verbal communication, teamwork, and **debuggingroots".
- Highly self-driven, with a focus on problem-solving. Preferred Skills:
- Experience in GPU/GPU pipelining/architecture design.
- Knowledge of SIMD, multi-core programming.
- Familiarity with D3D, Vulkan, OpenGL/OpenCL APIs.
- Leveraging AI/ML for toolchain analyse/optimizations.
