Job Title: Sr. Test Engineer with Cypress
Expected Work Experience: 3 to 6 Years
Job Location: Leeds, UK – 3 Days travel to office

Job Summary
Sr. Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for APIs and web applications using Cypress API Framework to ensure high quality, reliable, and scalable software delivery. Candidate must have relevant experience of 3 to 6 Years.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for RESTful APIs using Cypress API Framework.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Implement robust test data management and test environment setup for API and UI automation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to drive timely resolution.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage for regression, integration, and system testing across services and applications.
- Create and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure quality, reusability, and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support performance, reliability, and security testing initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering - API Automation Testing using Cypress API Framework (Technical).
- Hands-on experience with test automation in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript or similar).
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, request/response structures, and API validation techniques.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar) for automated test execution.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
