Senior Chocolatier / Store Manager assistant

The Swiss chocolate manufacturer Läderach stands for high-quality fresh chocolate. Founded in 1962, this family business employs over 2500 people from more than 80 countries under its group, with headquarters in the canton of Glarus—where they produce fresh chocolates and innovate in agile teams.

The Retail business unit operates over 250 chocolateries in more than 30 countries, offering chocolate specialties while inviting customers to experience fresh chocolate creatively. Join our team and be part of this exciting journey.


What you can expect

  • You will support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • You will manage the store independently when the Store Manager is absent.
  • You will lead by example to deliver an extraordinary, engaging customer experience.
  • You will motivate, mentor and coach sales associates to create a high-performing team.
  • You will support training and onboarding of new team members.
  • You will coordinate store operations and ensure seamless execution.
  • You will ensure compliance with food safety protocols and all applicable Health & Safety regulations.
  • You will handle weekly and seasonal ordering, maintaining correct stock levels.
  • You will schedule staff efficiently to balance customer service and cost management.
  • You will oversee stockroom storage and care, implementing FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • You will maintain the store’s visual appeal, aligning with brand’s visual merchandising guidelines.

What we expect from you

  • Proven experience in a **similar premium or luxury retail store management role.
  • A passionate commitment to customer interaction, embodying positivity, hands-on leadership, and enthusiasm.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, such as conversion rate and average transaction value (ATV).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, problem-solving ability, and a results-driven approach.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow a team and business.
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong prioritisation and delegation capabilities.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (fluency is mandatory). (An additional language is a plus but not essential.)
  • Lovers of chocolate with true passion for fine food.
